Took on my manager’s betta as a charity project. He’d been living in a vase for a year with minimal water maintenance. I looked in there and realized he had ammonia burns on his gills AND fin rot so I stepped in. He now has a much bigger tank with a filter, and coworker is gonna see if she can get him some shrimp friends to keep him company (or he’ll eat them, but we’ll make an attempt).
