My managers may be lazy but at least they always have my back when I enforce policy.

I can’t even tell you how freeing it is when someone looks down their nose at you and says “you can’t do this, I will speak to your managers and have you fired!” to be able to reply with “okay you do that, they’ll be pleased to hear that I didn’t break the rules.”
