continuing from my post this morning, i really detest the characterization of anakin and padme in conjunction with each other in the clone wars.  Like, anakin being a jealous possessive little monster is 100% believable to me but it’s played as being funny which it’s not.  It’s not healthy behavior and should be acknowledged as such.  And then you get Padme all “oh no everything’s FINE i’m not sulking i’m not mad it’s FINE that you care about the jedi more than me” passive aggression and. really? SENATOR Padme Amidala, who was elected queen at 14 and senator at 19, who dared multiple assassination attempts to get back to coruscant to vote against bills she felt were wrong, “this is how liberty dies: with thunderous applause”, THAT PADME is going to get pissy about her husband having commitments to the order that upholds the democracy she’s so dedicated to? Are you SERIOUS????
