Jake Peralta and Amy Santiago’s love story is truly one of the best written love stories to ever be shown on television. Starting out as playful rivals at work, then becoming best friends who fell in love.
They love and support each other through everything (“I’ve always known you were going to be my boss. This is your dream from before we were dating. You can’t be afraid to be successful. You’re too good for that.” Amy standing by Jake when he and Rosa were wrongfully found guilty and went to prison).
They listen to each other and communicate and don’t hide anything (Jake admitting to Amy he was jealous of Melvin in The Puzzle Master and how he’s afraid she might realise one day she wants to be with someone as smart as she is. Then Amy assures him he is as smart as she is and she loves the way he thinks and that’s why she wants to marry him).
They take an interest each other’s favourite things (Jake reading Harry Potter because Amy loves it so much and Amy having a Die Hard cake made for their wedding because she knows that movie is everything to Jake…well, second to Amy lol).
There has never been any unnecessary drama between them. They are simply just adorable dorks in love and are now happily married. Thank you B99 writers for blessing us with this pure ship.
