hey brain remember how we talked about the fact that that crush was Not Good and also Not Happening? Can we please stop dreaming about it, all that’s accomplishing is making us depressed. Thank.
On this Earth day, let’s all remember that industry and agriculture are substantially bigger polluters than residential sectors and the most impactful thing you as an individual can ultimately do is vote for representatives who will hold them accountable and who are vocal supporters of renewable energy. The way that environmental issues have been framed as an individual failing rather than the fault of enormous companies who cannot be trusted to self regulate is extremely insidious. Like by all means continue to make environmentally conscious decisions! But don’t forget that strong environmental protection laws championed by activists and politicians are the only reason we are where we are today.
WATCH: Rare corpse flower blooming at Tucson Botanical Gardens
TUCSON, AZ – For the first time in its history, Tucson Botanical Gardens has a blooming corpse flower.
The corpse flower, which gets its name from the “rotting flesh” odor it emits, is extremely rare and unpredictable.
“Corpse
flowers are considered rare in the world of botanic gardens,”
said Michelle Conklin, executive director of TBG. “There have been about
100 recorded cultivated corpse flowers around the world. The first
recorded flowering in the United States was at the New York Botanical
Gardens in 1937.”
The plants can take up to a decade to bloom for the first time and the bloom only lasts for 24-48 hours.
In other DnD news we agreed that I am immune to charm by incubi with the caveat that I have disadvantage against succubi (which just nullifies the advantage I get as a half elf). Succubus charmed me then kissed me for 48 damage.
