These kinds of responses are my FAVORITE. Some examples to answers to this question I have heard:
1.
“Okay, and who’s the president?”
“Obama, no wait, shit *vehemently* fuck, I hate him… what’s his name…”
“It’s okay, you know who he is.”
2.
“Who’s the president?”
“*drunkenly angry and confused* ..uhhhhhhh…Orange… damn it what’s the fuck’s name….
“Yup, good enough.”
3.
“And who’s the president,”
“Not fuckin’ Obama!”
“I feel ya.”
4.
“Who’s the president- wait, nevermind you’re from Korea you said, right? So who’s-“
“Everybody knows that Trump-bitch.”
“Oh, well, alright then.”
5. (My personal favorite)
“Who’s the president?”
“Ew.”
“Good enough.”
My roommate is a neurologist and has to do this check all the time. Her all-time favorite so far has been “ay dios mio” during which the woman was vigorously crossing herself.
i just saw a post that redid POTUS as SCROTUS which stands for “so called ruler of the united states” and i wanted to let you all know that’s how i will exclusively refer to trump henceforth
Donald Trump has officially completed one full year as president, and holy moly what a year it’s been. You probably don’t even remember how much stuff really happened in the last year because mentally it’s felt like 20.
There’s no better indicator of the bizarre day-to-day developments of President Trump’s first year in office than reading the wonderful chyrons, the headline captions you see at the bottom of your screen during a news broadcast.
So rather than attempt to describe the past year, we picked out some of the best chyrons to illustrate just what a Twilight Zone-esque 365 days we’ve had.
watching all of trump’s cronies turning on each other would be hilarious if they weren’t supposed to be running the country right now. It’s kind of like overhearing a ridiculous slap fight in the cockpit of the airplane you’re in mid-flight
I would post about the latest thing but instead I’m just gonna reblog this every time
This is your daily reminder that this is not normal. Donald Trump is unqualified, racist, misogynistic, ill-tempered, unintelligent; he has no grasp of how our government is supposed to work; he has conflicts of interest so numerous that two presidential ethics lawyers have bi-partisanly teamed up to combat them; he’s been sued so many times I can’t list them all here; he’s still being sued by a multitude of people, and will continue to be long into his presidency.
The Russian government blatantly interfered with his election through email hacks and wikileaks: this has been confirmed by multiple national intelligence agencies; he has no regard for the truth, or facts, or scientific data; he gets into fights with people on twitter at 3am.
He called Mexicans rapists and criminals; he wanted to create a registry for Muslim Americans; he doesn’t take no for an answer, whether its coming from a woman or the President of Mexico; he refuses to attend security briefings; he’s costing the government millions by refusing to leave his office in Trump Tower; his cabinet is as unqualified and uninformed as he is.
He lost the popular vote by over three million (3,000,000) people. The American people did not elect him. Donald Trump should not be President of the United States.
This is not normal. Don’t ever forget it.
It’s been 100 days under Donald Trump’s presidency: the honeymoon period is over.
Let’s start with the cabinet, which includes:
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, an Exon Mobil Oil executive with no other qualifications; Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin, a former Goldman and Sachs executive and Hollywood producer, with no other qualifications; Secretary of Defense Jeff Sessions, a proponent of the KKK who spoke out against the NAACP and ACLU and the Voting Rights Act; Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price, a long-time opposer of Medicare; Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, a brain surgeon with no other qualifications; Secretary of Energy Rex Tillerson, who famously said his department should not exist in a presidential debate; Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, a proponent of charter school expansion with no other qualifications; Secretary of the Interior Ryan Kinke, a climate change denier; Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, former chairman of an equity firm with no other qualifications; and Administrator of Environmental Protection Agency Scott Pruitt who has sued the EPA on multiple occasions.
There are still 530 top-level vacancies that Trump has not filled to date.
Trump took his first weekend as president off; he’s taken time off to play golf 12 times; his trips to Mar-a-Lago have cost $46.8 million so far; it costs $1 million per day to keep Melania Trump in New York instead of the White House
Trump called the media an “enemy of the American people”, and banned CNN, the New York Times, Politico, the Los Angeles Times and BuzzFeed from a non-televised press conference.
He has refused to drop the issue of the crowd size at his inauguration, forcing his Press Secretary Sean Spicer to lie about it during his very first press briefing, most notoriously bringing it up on Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Trump has lied about illegal voting during the presidential election; about President Obama illegally wiretapping him during his campaign; about the crowd size at his inauguration; he has mistakenly alluded to Frederick Douglas being alive;
His advisor, Kellyanne Conway, made up a mass shooting and said that Trump wasn’t a liar, he simply provided “alternate facts.”
His former national security advisor, Michael Flynn, lied about communicating with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak, and has received over $100,000 from various Russian officials; Attorney General Jeff Sessions lied about his communications with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak and recused himself from any investigation into any of this that may come forward; Secretary Rex Tillerson was awarded Russia’s Order of Friendship in 2013; Jared Kushner has communicated with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak and Sergey Gorkov, the head of Russia’s state-owned development bank, which had sanctions placed on it by the US; Paul Manafort, his former campaign manager, has received in total $22.7 million from multiple Russian officials.
Trump has given his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, both a top position in the White House and power over Mideast peace, talks with China and Mexico, and reforming the criminal justice system, among other things; Kushner has no qualifications for any of these tasks, tasks that Trump himself should be handling.
Trump signed an executive order banning entry into the United States by persons coming from muslim-majority countries Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. When a restraining order was placed on the order, he immediately drafted another one, which was also shut down.
Trump refused to shake the hand of German Chancellor Angela Merkel during a diplomatic joint press conference.
He went on a twitter rant about the dropping ratings of The Celebrity Apprentice.
He tried to repeal and replace the Affordable Healthcare Act, pushing a vote on the bill after less than a month after its conception, then pulled the bill before the vote could go through; he then promptly tried to blame Paul Ryan for its failure.
He fired 59 Tomahawk missiles at Libya; each missile cost $1.59 million; Trump owns a considerable amount of stock in the company that makes these missiles: said company’s stock prices went up right after the bombing took place; the airbase that Trump bombed was operational again within hours of the bombing; Russian officials were warned of the attack before it took place; Trump ordered the strike from Mar-a-lago, during a meeting with the Chinese president; He later mistakenly said that they had bombed Iraq instead, and had to be corrected by the interviewer.
Trump has most recently had suites filed against him for inciting violence at one of his political rallies and his baseless allegations about wiretapping.
He lied about sending an aircraft carrier to North Korea, who the US is currently on the verge of nuclear war with.
He has proposed a budget that would cut the EPA’s funding by over 30%, and cut programs like Meals on Wheels.
Trump came out in support of Bill O’Reilly after it came out that Fox News had payed over $13 million to keep allegations of sexual harassment on O’Reilly’s part quiet.
There have been multiple signs that Trump is mentally unfit to hold the office of President of the United States, including when he walked out of the oval office without signing an executive order he had, seconds before, said he was going to sign, and that he had called press into the office specifically for, and when, in an interview with AP where a reporter was within a few feet of him, in the same room, he became unintelligible sixteen (16) times during their interview.
He has no qualifications; He has not accomplished anything he said he would during his campaign; He has no regard for his office or the offices of other foreign officials; Most of his closest advisors have ties with Russia, who is still suspected of directly influencing the results of the presidential election; He is mentally unfit to lead; He delegates most of his responsibilities to other people; He lost the popular vote by three million (3,000,000) people, no matter what he says or who he accuses.
Donald Trump should not be President of the United States of America. This is not normal. Don’t ever forget it.
