@thoughts-of-a-bibleophile honestly I would have been perfectly happy to watch her take him down in a fight, but having been in a similar situation (minus a few murders and dismemberments) this was so much more powerful to me? Like, getting to the point you can stand up to an abusive ex is hard, but finding the strength to tell them “you’re not worth the energy it would take to destroy you” and walking away is so much harder. Aside from anything else in this episode or volume I’d like to hug the writers for this scene alone, I loved it!

(okay should be last ask, sorry for the spam there’s just so much that happened this season) I was having this thought while I watched the episode that Shiro comes back, maybe the Galra are letting him get situated at the castle & when the timing’s right, they’ll brainwash/mind-control him. Or he’s a clone. Those are my bets.

Yeah, there’s something Not Right about Shiro. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something is Off. He touches Keith with his Galra hand (when, with the exception of shaking the other three’s hands in S1e1, he’s never touched any of them with it). His talking over Keith and undermining his leadership despite having set him up for this (regardless of the apology afterward). And of course the outright rejection by the black lion. All of it adds up to NOT SHIRO HISSSSSSS

I did live on my own for two years, so I know it gets better. I’m only currently confined in small living spaces with the mother because of family vacation, and living at home is temporary. It’s just that I make a very little bit more than the lowest monthly rent in my area (and that’s working full time, guaranteed 40 hours at well above minimum wage UGH) so saving up to move to a place where one bedroom apartments go for slightly less than $1300/month (not including utilities). Unfortunately my complete inability to get along with the majority of the human race means roommates are an absolute last resort, but I should be out of the parents’ house by december or so…fingers crossed.
