THIS WAS ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE A SKETCH??? WHAT’S HAPPENING.

I was trying a reference, I wasn’t supposed to finish this in one sitting. WELP. You’re gonna have to suffer through my obikin shit once more! Hope you don’t mind.

I guess Anakin has the high ground this time

I imagine Anakin has a tendency to pounce on Obi-Wan a lot. You know, like the dog who hasn’t seen its human ALL DAY and is just so excited it can’t control itself.

“But Master! You were gone forever!”

“Two hours is NOT forever, Anakin!”

Ok but this is such a cute idea oh my gosh I had to draw it

coruscant-sky:

They had sparred together so often that they knew each other’s favorite moves. Obi-Wan hardly had to think to counter Anakin’s attack. Lightsabers humming, they battled their way down the hall and into the control center. It felt…. familiar, like another practice session.

Blade-to-blade, they were identical. After thousands of hours in lightsaber sparring, they knew each other better than brothers, more intimately than lovers; they were complementary halves of a single warrior.

what she says: I’m fine.

what she means: but why haven’t they announced Ewan McGregor as lead for the Kenobi movie? I mean who else would they cast? Ewan wants it the fans want it what are they gonna do reanimate Alec Guinness? Ewan/Obi-wan was too young in TPM to realistically have some teenie bopper actor play him as a padawan and then what would they do about Qui-gon so it can’t be from when he’s younger unless it’s literally about him as an actual child.  The only option they have to make is post-ROTS pre-ANH Obi-wan and that can only be Ewan.  Anything else would be a farce.  And, because he’s aged, it’ll actually look correct for that time period.  Lucasfilm you better not fuck this up for me or I swear to GOD-

honestly

@piraterey HOW DARE YOU

Why

This is both the saddest and the most hopeful thing I have ever seen

so then this happened:

Obi-Wan.”
It came out in something perilously close to a sob, and all he could
do was take hold of his old Master’s elbows and stare at the man in
front of him, looking as he had when Anakin had been knighted, and
revel, wallow, in the feel of those strong hands gripping his
shoulders.  “How …”  Anakin swallowed, painfully.

“How …?”
Copper eyebrows lifted in that softly questioning fashion, and
Obi-Wan’s eyes were the blue-gray he remembered so well, mouth
quirking in the tiny smile it had taken Anakin far too many years to
understand.  “How are you here?  Lessons I learned over the last
twenty years, and I had help, as well, to catch you.”

Anakin swallowed
again.  “Catch?”

Obi-Wan nodded.  “I
– selfishly wanted to see you again, if only for a few moments.
You needn’t be here, if you don’t wish to be.  The peace of the
Force is just a thought away.  It’s your choice, Anakin.”

His name, his true
name, spoken in that voice, the softly proper Corescanti lilt Anakin
had never thought to hear again.

“It has always
been your choice,” Obi-Wan said, squeezing his shoulders.

“Why – am I
here?  When did you –  How can you not hate me now?” Anakin got
out, his voice shaking.

“Oh, Anakin.”
Obi-Wan’s eyes closed briefly, and when they opened again they were
shining.  “I never hated you; I never could.  Even the times when,
I confess, that I wanted to,” he said, shaking his head.  “I
never knew how.  I mourned you.”

It broke him.
Anakin wrapped both arms around Obi-Wan and buried his face in the
white-clad shoulder, fisting one hand in the back of his Master’s
tunics as the fabric against his face grew damp.  ~Sorry sorry
gods so sorry
so sorry please
Obi-Wan – ~

Wordless love
flowing across their old training bond, deep-warm
bright-Force-comfort
feeling surrounding him, as familiar as the
strong arms banded securely around his back.  After a while, the
words in his ear began to make sense.  “It’s all right, Padawan.
It’s all right now.  It’s over,” Obi-Wan murmured, and his
voice wasn’t entirely steady either.  “Over; our parts are over
now, and I am so very proud of you.  You’ve come home, back to the
Light, to us.  To me.”
