you know, we joke about this, but that’s exactly what this is: an inside joke.

This is Obi-Wan reaching out one last time with bemused exhaustion at his best friend and sparring partner of thirteen years who’s about to pull a stunt he’s tried (and failed) before.

This is Obi-Wan’s “babe don’t try it” face.

This is Obi-Wan repeating a line he’s only ever said in jest, a line he hopes will touch something in Anakin – a memory, a feeling of friendship, a laugh from the floor of the Temple dojo…  

This isn’t clunky dialogue or some weird Jedi precept about the relationship between elevation and success in saber duels.

This is an inside joke between two people who “knew each other better than brothers, more intimately than lovers” and that’s another smouldering hill I will die on.

The day Ahsoka got knighted (if that ever happens *shot*) would literally be the most emotional moment ever. And no matter what, Anakin will forever think of her as his favourite little sister. ❤ The way Luminara asked him whether he’d be able to let go of her when the time comes just really stuck with me. Breezing through S3 now!
